Dear Visitors! PDF Print E-mail
Welcome to the Swiss Codex Alimentarius Website. It is an official website of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (SFOPH) which was set up following the election of Switzerland as the Coordinator for the Codex Coordinating Committee for Europe (CCEURO) in 2005. The SFOPH has mandated the Forum Ost-West to manage the Swiss CCEURO Secretariat and to maintain the website on behalf of SFOPH, FAO/WHO. All the information contained on this website is officially submitted to the Forum Ost-West.

This site is dedicated to foster information and cooperation amongst the European members of the Codex. To this end, it provides the latest news on the Committees work as well as the basic documents and the contact information of the Codex Contact Points in Europe.

Most of the contents of this site will eventually be available in both English and Russian. You can switch the language from anywhere within the site using the language links on the top left of the page.

Yours sincerely, Awilo Ochieng Pernet
Chairperson, 26th session of the Codex Coordinating Committee for Europe (CCEURO)

Responses submitted in reply to the current enquiry will enable the Codex Secretariat in Rome, the CCEURO Committee and Switzerland to evaluate the use and efficiency of this means of communication with all 46 members of the Codex European Region. Improvements of our Website can only be made based on the feed-back that we receive from our “public”. Furthermore, Switzerland will inform all members of the CCEURO of the results of this enquiry at the forthcoming 26th session of the CCEURO which is due to be held in Warsaw, Poland from 7th to 10th October 2008.
